Homeschool Independently, Save your Children from Public School Madness, and Let Kids be Kids

Several stories came out this week documenting atrocious behavior on the part of our public schools, teachers, and teacher unions, each of which drives home the importance of escaping our failing public schools in favor of homeschooling. From masking mandates for toddlers, vaccine mandates on public and private workers (and soon students), to ankle bracelets on athletes, extreme communist indoctrination, and pledging allegiance to the rainbow flag, the radical left teachers and administrators that populate our classrooms and public institutions have truly let their freak flags fly for all of us to witness.

Did we really need additional reasons to homeschool our kids?

I subscribe to Principal News, which promotes itself as, “A daily round-up of education news and views for the Golden State.” This helps me keep posted on the “education community’s” antics and views day-by-day. Principal News is written and distributed by the textbook publisher, McGraw-Hill.

Today, Principal News posted this headline:

“U.S. Education Department to probe five states with ‘unacceptable’ school mask bans” (italics are mine)

Notice that the headline refers to school mask bansAs if schools are banning, as in not allowing, students or anyone to wear a mask.

We know this is not the case. Some states and localities may be banning mask “mandates,” but that is a far cry from banning masks. If you want to wear a mask, go for it. But, requiring everyone to wear a mask because you want them to is far from reasonable.

In true mainstream media form, the article opens with the following misleading information:

“The Department of Education’s civil rights office has launched five investigations into statewide

school mask bans, as COVID-19 infections disrupt the fall back-to-school season in some communities. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona accused education chiefs in Iowa, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah of ‘putting politics over the health and education of the students they took an oath to serve.’” (emphasis mine)

Yes, Miguel Cardona, it would be awful for our education chiefs to put, “…politics over the health and education of the students…”

This is the kind of misinformation that your principals and teachers rely upon. From my 30 years of experience in the California public school system, I can assure you that the vast majority of our teachers accept what they read or watch via liberal media sources without question.

(McGraw-Hill is one of those liberal media sources, as are most establishment educational publishers. Check out their website page here .)

The original article cited by Principal News is from the New York Times. You may read the source article here. Even the Times doesn’t go so far as to state or imply that the investigations relate to “mask bans.”

I share this article with you to remind and alert you that our nation’s teachers and administrators gobble up this kind of story as fact as if their undergraduate studies never included an introductory logic course.

These same folks are responsible for teaching public school children “facts” about history, science, math, and our rich language. These people do not educate our children; they indoctrinate. Many don't even realize that they are indoctrinating because the liberal viewpoint is so ingrained in their thinking.

Homeschooling is our way of ensuring that our children are learning an honest, fair, and balanced education based on knowledge, critical thinking, skills, and truth.

Here are some recent events that remind us how important homeschooling truly has become:

I'm going to start with this great news: Homeschool student wins GOLD in Physics Olympiad

For our children's sake, we need to homeschool.
